The Yukon Quest is a 1,000-mile sled dog race between Fairbanks, Alaska and Whitehorse, located in the Yukon Territory, Canada. The race is known as “The Toughest Race in the World”. Indeed nearly a third of all the mushers may fail to reach the finish line of this difficult sled dog race. The trail follows a route used in the 1898 gold rush to the Klondike which occurred along the US / Canadian border. You’ll
visit the turn of the century gold rush capital of Dawson and follow the
race from this historic community. This exceptional tour combines two
other gems found in Alaska as well, Denali National Park and Chena Hot
Springs! You'll visit Denali National Park to see the “Great One”,
Denali, which is the tallest mountain in North America and we’ll
watch for the Northern Lights from the outdoor pools found at the Chena
Hot Springs! A wonderful way to end a very unique trip of a lifetime!
This exceptional guided tour provides all your lodging, transportation
and activities. The tour departs from Fairbanks. P.O. Box 100965, Anchorage, Alaska 99510 Phone/Fax: (907)258-7238 Toll Free: (866)529-2525 E-Mail: info@alaskavisionquest.com |
