Wrangell St. Elias National Park


We offer many rafting tours to the Wrangell St. Elias National Park. Each tour is customized to your desires and we provide all your camping equipment as well as transportation from Anchorage. Below is a sample itinerary for the Lower Copper River, our favorite rafting trip in the park.

Lower Copper River Float Trip

Day 1: (usually a Saturday)
Arrive in Anchorage Alaska, the states primary airport for out of state flights. We'll meet you this evening at our favorite local B&B. It's centrally located, exceptional and in easy walking distance to all the best downtown establishments. We provide lodging.

Day 2- 5

We'll depart at at 8 am on day 2 for the 6 hour drive to the copper river and start floating by 3 pm. If your interested we can take a glacier hike along the way for a nice lunch break. Your first camp is located in the beautiful wood canyon. From there you'll float into a land that is nothing short of unbelievable. The towering peaks that line the river are amazing. On day five and six we'll explore several calving glaciers that flow into the river as well as the Copper River Delta. Your camps will be well stocked and very comfortable. They include bug free dining tents and exceptional meals of fresh foods.

Day 6:
Depart the river in the morning for a short drive to Cordova. Overnight in a locally owned Bed & Breakfast and enjoy a hot shower as well as a celebration dinner of fresh copper river salmon. We provide lodging and dinner.

Day 7:
Return to Anchorage or Seattle via Alaska Airlines from Cordova.
