7 Day Whales and Glaciers Sea Kayaking Tour
This is our most popular sea kayaking tour and explores our favorite destinations and the most remote regions of Prince William Sound. We will gladly provide references.
Itinerary:
Day Before:
Arrive in Anchorage Alaska, the states primary airport for out of state
flights. We'll meet you this evening at your favorite local Bed & Breakfast or hotel.
We'll be happy to arrange your lodging at a location that is centrally located for easy walking to all
the best downtown establishments. We will meet you this evening to pack your clothes into dry bags and to answer any last minute questions.
Day 1 :
We'll pick you up at 8 am for a one hour drive to Whittier where
we’ll transfer to our boat taxi for a cruise to the most remote fjords of western Prince William Sound. Our final destination is over 70 miles from the nearest port so you can be assured of an amazing wilderness experience.
We'll arrive at our prefered beach by noon, set camp and after a short paddling class we'll start exploring. If you are a first time paddler don't worry. Most of our clients are beginners and we'll make sure you are both confident and comfortable before we depart. There is plenty of time for a full day of sea kayaking today!
Day 2 - 6:
Continue to explore the best regions of Prince William Sound. Our camps are located in the prime wildlife viewing locations and the
animals will often simply come to you! Our itineraries are flexible and you call the shots in regards to daily explorations. For this tour, the regions we explore are too remote for day cruise ships or
most recreational boaters to reach so you can expect solitude.
Our tent
camps are very comfortable and portable. Choose to move camp daily or base camp if you are simply in heaven and want the extra paddling time! The optional cabin, lodge or boat based tours offer rustic to luxurious accomodations.
We provide all your camping equipment including tents, sleeping bags and a wide range of paddling accessories that includes gore tex paddling jackets and top of the line fiberglass kayaks. For a complete list click here:

Day 7:
After a relaxing breakfast we'll pack up the camp and go for a mid day paddle or hike before being picked up by the boat for a farewell cruise back to Whittier. Most
folks enjoy a celebration dinner in Whittier at our favorite locally owned
Fish and Chip house and arrive back in Anchorage
around 6 to 8 pm. The choice is yours though. We can easily return earlier if you prefer. Restaurants in Girdwood and Anchorage are mighty tempting too! Wade, the owner, thinks Anchorage has the best Sushi bar this side of nirvana!
