5 Day Glaciers Galore Sea Kayaking Tour
This tour provides non stop glacier action. Huge calving glaciers are the focus but the wildlife is also very abundant, especially seals and otters, both of which use the ice for haul-outs.
Itinerary:
Day Before:
Arrive in Anchorage Alaska, the states primary airport for out of state
flights. We'll meet you this evening at your favorite local Bed & Breakfast or hotel.
We'll be happy to arrange lodging for you at a location that is centrally located and in easy walking distance to all
the best downtown establishments. We'll meet you this evening to pack your clothes into dry bags and to answer any last minute questions.
Day 1 : We'll pick you up at 8 am for a one hour drive to Whittier where
we’ll transfer to our boat taxi for a cruise to the fjords with highest concentrations of glaciers. Prince William Sound offers one of the highest concentrations of tide water glaciers in North America!
We'll arrive at our prefered beach by noon, set camp and after a short paddling class we'll start exploring. If you are a first time paddler don't worry. Most of our clients are beginners and we'll make sure you are both confident and comfortable before we depart. There is plenty of time for a full day of sea kayaking today!
Day 2 - 4: Continue to explore the best regions of Prince William Sound for big, calving glaciers. Our camps are located in the prime glacier viewing locations. Our itineraries are flexible and you call the shots in regards to daily explorations.
Our tent
camps are very comfortable and portable. Choose to move camp daily or base camp if you are simply in heaven and want the extra paddling time! The optional boat based tours offer the most luxurious accomodations and the most glaciers.
We provide all your camping equipment including tents, sleeping bags and a wide range of paddling accessories that includes gore tex paddling jackets and top of the line fiberglass kayaks. For a complete list click here:

Day 5: After a relaxing breakfast we'll pack up the camp and go for a mid day paddle or hike before being picked up by the boat for a farewell cruise back to Whittier. Most
folks enjoy a celebration dinner in Whittier at our favorite locally owned
Fish and Chip house, arriving back in Anchorage
around 6 to 8 pm. The choice is yours though. We can easily return earlier if you prefer. Restaurants in Girdwood and Anchorage are mighty tempting too! Wade, the owner, thinks Anchorage has the best Sushi bar this side of nirvana!
