7 Day Northwestern Fjord Sea Kayaking Tour

We provide transportation from Anchorage to Seward.

Itinerary:

Day Before:
Arrive in Anchorage Alaska, the states primary airport for out of state flights. We'll meet you this evening at your favorite local Bed & Breakfast or hotel to pack your clothes into dry bags and to answer any last minute questions.

Day 1 :
We'll pick you up at 8 am for a one hour drive to Six Mile creek. This exiting whitwater river offers up to class IV rapids. It is a beautiful creek that flows through several tight canyons with very exiting rapids. If big rapids are not for you don't worry, you have the option of just enjoying the more gentle sections of the river and letting the adrenaline junkies tackle the big stuff. We use paddle rafts and provide dry suits so your comfortable. Your guides have been safely operating rafting trips on Six Mile Creek for a decade. Your in very safe and, most importantly, experienced hands. We absolutely love it and will guarantee that you will be amazed!

After a fun filled ride down the river we will transfer back to our van and drive one hour to Seward where you'll overnight. There are lots of fun activities in Seward including the Sea Life Center which is Alaska's premier aquarium.

Day 2:
Today we will load the kayaks onto a boat taxi for a two hour cruise to Northwestern fjord. This is a very scenic cruise that offers excellent opportunities to see humpback whales and Orca's. We will arrive at the beach around 10 am, set camp and start exploring Northwestern Fjord.

If you prefer you can go ocean fishing today and start sea kayaking on day 3. With this option your fish will be vacumm sealed and frozen by the time you return from kayaking. We will bring plenty of coolers for transporting your catch back to Anchorage.

Day 3 - 6:
Continue to explore Northwestern fjord. Our camps are located in the prime wildlife viewing locations and the animals will often simply come to you! Our itineraries are flexible and you call the shots in regards to daily explorations.

Our tent camps are very comfortable and portable. Choose to move camp daily or base camp if you are simply in heaven and want the extra paddling time!

Day 7:
After a relaxing breakfast we'll pack up the camp and go for a mid day paddle or hike before being picked up by the boat for a farewell cruise back to Seward. Most folks enjoy a celebration dinner in Seward and arrive back in Anchorage around 8 to 9 pm.
