Hello, my name is Wade and I’m the owner of the company. Vision Quest Adventures is a family run, locally owned business operating out of Anchorage since 1998. I have built a strong reputation for exceptional quality and a commitment to every trip that exceeds our client’s expectations. I have a degree in biology and I will personally guide you on all of these tours along with my two good friends, Laurent and Brent. I feel my tours offer a depth of quality and service the discriminating traveler will appreciate and I look forward to talking to you! References are available upon request.

Brent has been with our company almost from the beginning. He is an avid winter explorer that was born in Alaska, has climbed Denali and truly loves the winter and snow. He has a degree in the natural sciences and is our resident skiing expert as well as our lead guide for all our summer expeditions. His tele marking skills are excellent and he has years of experience skiing and exploring the backcountry safely. He will be your lead guide for all the Prince William Skiing tours. His safety record is flawless and he’s a proven processional that has garnered consistent praise from everyone that meets him. He’s an excellent wilderness cook as well. Laurent Dick

Laurent fell in love with the North land in 1989 during a 2,000 miles solo canoe trip on the Yukon River. A native of Switzerland, he’s a professional photographer who is publishing a photo album of the Yukon Quest Sled Dog Race, is a mountaineer who has climbed Denali and is an experienced wilderness guide.

He has followed the Yukon Quest for half a dozen years, both as freelance and official race photographer. Laurent says, “I love the international spirit of the race, characterized by geography and history rather than political boundaries. It commemorates the role of the trail in the development of the North and celebrates the traditional interdependence of humans and dogs. I have gained a deep sense of appreciation for the bond of mushers and dogs. A bond that defines Alaska’s state sport”.

Laurent is our resident expert on photography, sled dog races and anything involving the backcountry that he calls home. He guides all our sled dog tours and may be joining us this year for skiing as well. Laurent has an in depth knowledge of the race and the mushers that is priceless. Many of the photos on this web site are credited to him and I encourage you to contact him if you are interested in purchasing a photo or would like to see his portfolio. You can reach Laurent directly at: Laurent Dick Photography 1-907-456-1331.
