Arctic National Wildlife Refuge
Day
1:
Arrive in Fairbanks Alaska. Transfer to our favorite locally owned Bed
and Breakfast where we’ll meet you to answer any last minute questions and to pack your clothing for the trip.
We provide lodging.
Days 2:
Today we'll depart for the refuge by chartered bush plane arriving in the mid afternoon. We'll set up camp, inflate the rafts and have a special dinner for our first night. Great hiking and exploring oportunities as the sun never sets!
Day 3 - 10: Explore the best rivers in the refuge. We take our time floating these rivers and include plenty of day hikes and always stop to enjoy wildlife that we encounter along the way. Your guide has a degree in biology and our camps are very comfortable. We provide everything and most rivers offer good fishing in the evening as well.
Day
11 or 12:
We’ll fly out of the park on day 11 or 12 for our return to Fairbanks and a big
celebration dinner. We provide both lodging and dinner.
Due
to the remote quality of these tours we highly recommend flexibility in
regards to your return date due to possible weather delays. Fog can sometimes roll in off the Arctic ocean. It is rare and usually lasts less than 24 hours in duration but you will want the flexibility
to handle a delay should it occur. A two day window at the end of
your trip is advised.
Day
13:
Return home from Fairbanks with a lifetime of great memories.
This
is a general itinerary. Custom tours are our specialty and we always create itineraies to your desires and specifications.
